WHO ARE WE?

Bubs Artspace is a mobile children’s enrichment business that delivers Reggio-inspired, process-based art programming to daycares, after-school programs, and seasonal camps. Serving children ages 2–8, Bubs Artspace focuses on child-led, sensory-rich creative experiences that support developmental, emotional, and cognitive growth.

Unlike traditional arts and crafts programs that emphasize structured outcomes, Bubs Artspace prioritizes open-ended exploration. Children are encouraged to engage with a variety of materials—including upcycled and sustainable resources—making independent choices and expressing themselves freely without predefined results. This approach fosters creativity, confidence, problem-solving skills, and emotional awareness.

All sessions are facilitated on-site, with Bubs Artspace providing materials, setup, and cleanup, ensuring a low-barrier, high-impact experience for partner organizations. Programs are offered as one-time workshops, recurring weekly sessions, or multi-week series, allowing flexibility to meet the needs of different learning environments.

Bubs Artspace is positioned at the intersection of early childhood development, creative enrichment, and sustainable practice, offering a unique service that supports both children’s growth and the operational needs of childcare providers.

Background

Bubs Artspace was founded by Brittany Philp, whose early exposure to childhood development began in her mother’s in-home daycare, sparking a lasting interest in psychology and human behaviour. She later expanded this foundation through her education and career in marketing, with a focus on consumer behaviour, gaining a deeper understanding of decision-making, engagement, and human development.

She has furthered her expertise through an Art Therapy for Children certificate (Udemy) and ongoing study of the Reggio Emilia approach, which she applies in her work with children. As a mother of two, she brings a personal understanding of the importance of fostering creativity, confidence, and emotional development in a rapidly changing world.

Bubs Artspace was created to deliver meaningful, child-led creative experiences that support these outcomes, with a long-term vision to expand into accessible, high-quality enrichment programming across childcare and educational settings.
